-   ABOUT US  -

V. Cirace & Son, Inc. was established in 1906 in Boston’s historic North End in the oldest Italian community in America. Their grandparents, Vincenza and Ernesto emigrated from Salerno, located at the base of the Amalfi Coast in southern Italy. The business began as a wholesale retail grocery, dry goods and tobacco shop. After prohibition the family business was the first liquor license granted in the City of Boston. Their dad, Ernest who had graduated from Suffolk Law School prior to his service in the Air Force as a captain and his sister Eda joined the family business after the war and focused their attention on the wine and spirits side of the business. In 1953 they established Cive Importing Company as importers and distributors of wine and spirits. The oldest brother Ric pursued a career in law and has an office in Boston. He acts as their legal counsel as well as the older brother of the family. Owner Jeff had always intended from the time of a little boy to follow in the family business and Lisa joined them after their Aunt Eda passed away. They both had the great fortune to work under the tutelage of their father for a period of time prior to his death. Not only did they gain the knowledge of their business but the tradition of their family and the value of their customers. Today, Lisa and Jeff represent over 107 years of family’s tradition.
